A hidden gem on Amazon Prime video

In the craziness of the past few months, I will readily admit that my children have had too much screen time. Nixxing the flix has (sadly) not been happening. We have been in survival mode. However, through this period of insanity, we have found a little treasure on Amazon Prime video. I wanted to share it with you!

The “Character Builders” series for young children is available right now for free to Amazon Prime members. There are fifteen episodes about the fruit of the Spirit, featuring a little boy and a little girl named Stevie and Nancy, and concluding with a sweet song at the end of each episode.

Stevie and Nancy were around when I was a little girl, through the medium of records played on a record player. So I hear strains of familiarity coming from the other room as my little ones enjoy this now-animated series. Mr. Conductor, Agapeland, and the music machine… fond memories.

The music is by Frank and Betsy Hernandez (some of our favorite songwriters) and the series is published by Alpha Omega publications.

We used to have this series on DVD several years ago, but they became hopelessly scratched. So I was pretty thrilled to rediscover them on Amazon Prime video.

I heard my little girls the other day singing “I pulled too hard on my puppy’s tail, because I was not gentle…” Just adorable.

We’ve been able to have less screen time and more of this kind of thing since arriving in Illinois.

God provided bikes/scooters for all the kids (except Joshua) in ONE day. I’m still amazed at how God provides!

These are just phone pics, not Katelyn’s gorgeous pics. A poor substitute, but you get the idea.
